Good Things Come to Those Who GO

I hope you've all had a great week and weekend. I've finished my first week of my internship, and I have to admit, it was a great week! So many exciting things happen in such a short period of time, so I am also quite exhausted haha.

Today, as inspired by a quote I recently heard, I wanted to talk about why I've decided to GO this year instead of waiting around for my life to happen and why you should GO too! (This will be my little cliché words-of-encouragement post.)

How to Rock Cowboy Couture

Good morning and happy Easter to those that celebrate! (I hope you're all eating extra chocolate today!) Inspired by my recent discovery of the show Westworld (I know I'm late, but if you have not seen it and like futuristic shows, seriously get on it!), I decided to dedicate a post to the western-inspired trends that have been gracing the fashion world as of late.

Although Western trends were showing up on runways starting last winter, they were absolutely ruling the AW18 runways all over the world, including fashion houses I really admire like House of Holland, Calvin Klein, and Topshop. Cowboy couture is a fairly easy trend to try out and you probably already have some of these trends in your wardrobe! Here's how you can conquer fashion's new frontier.

Girls Supporting Girls

It's finally February! We made it through one of the longest months of the year. Congrats! This week, in light of recent women's marches that went on throughout the world a couple weeks ago, I thought I would talk about how we can better support the community of women in our lives.  Whether that be the women in your workplace, an online community of women you've never met, or just your closest confidants and best of friends, we should all have each others' backs!  You might not have made it to a women's march near you, but here's how you can support women on a smaller, but still important, scale.

Summer Ready

Sorry for my little blogging break last weekend.  It was my 22nd birthday and I just wanted to focus on spending time with my lovely friends and family!  Thank you to all of those who left me lovely birthday wishes on Facebook and Instagram.  You guys are the best! For this week's fashion post, I thought I would go for a more summery look.  There is a festival in town this weekend and the sun has been shining everyday, so I thought this look was very appropriate.

The White Shirt: Reinvented

I hope you're all having a fun and relaxing weekend.  This week, I thought I needed to discuss the revival of the white shirt.

Your classic white button-up shirt is getting a major revamp this season.  We are seeing updated white shirts adorning every fashion blogger and celebrity, and the best thing is that it's easy to get on board yourself.

The Corset: From The 16th Century to The 21st

Who wouldn't want to take a trip back in time to the 16th century when extravagant gowns and bouffant hair were at their height?  Although we'd all love to be lords and ladies for a day, a heavy hoop skirt and layers of heavy fabric wouldn't be the most practical for driving cars or going to the grocery store.

Since it's one of the biggest trends of the season, I've decided to take the corset into my own hands and make it my own.

The Print of the Season: Gingham

I hope this mid-week post as opposed to my Sunday post didn't throw you off too much!  Due to an overwhelming amount of school work and some crazy, inclement weather, I had to push the post back to today.  I know..excuses..excuses, but let's get on with this post, and just maybe you can forgive me.

Spring 2017 has a bigger star print than the usual floral that floods the season.  Let me introduce you to the print of the season...Gingham!  This fresh, crisp print is an easy trend that we should all try to get on board with.  This classic pattern is turning up everywhere, and let me tell you, there are a million ways to wear it!

Dress to Impress

Goodmorning everyone! This week, since some people have already returned to school and I'm heading back to university this week, I thought I'd talk about the importance of making a good first impression.

Especially when it comes to going to a job or internship interview, making a good first impression is extremely important.  According to MindTools, a first impression can be nearly impossible to reverse or undo.
