The Corset: From The 16th Century to The 21st

Who wouldn't want to take a trip back in time to the 16th century when extravagant gowns and bouffant hair were at their height?  Although we'd all love to be lords and ladies for a day, a heavy hoop skirt and layers of heavy fabric wouldn't be the most practical for driving cars or going to the grocery store.
