How I’ve Escaped the January Blues

Hope you’ve all had a productive week. I’ve had a lovely week exploring London. My friend, Sarah and I went to Notting Hill on Wednesday, and this weekend my brother’s girlfriend, Felicia, visited me, so got up to loads of fun things! We visited Tate Modern, went to see Wicked on the West End, and ate lots of delish food. What more can a girl ask for? This weekend was the perfect cure for those January blues. Anyway, for this week’s blog post, I wanted to talk about how I’ve been escaping these so-called January blues, as I always find it to be a trying month filled with lots of pressures and expectations. Despite getting some bad news this month, I’ve still managed to stay positive and below are some of the things that have helped me, including weekend’s like this one. You might benefit from adding these little habits to your routine too.

My Interview Tips

I hope you're all doing well! I've just made it to London, but I wrote this ahead of time so fingers crossed the journey went well! Eeeek! Anyway, I'm so glad you've joined me again here on the blog. You're the best, you know! This week, since I recently nailed a very dreamy internship, I wanted to talk about some tips and tricks, you know how I love my tips, on how to nail the job, internship, college program, etc. of your dreams! I've spent over a year and a half finding and getting this internship, and I've interviewed with my share of companies since I was about fifteen, so I think I've learned a suitcaseful!

Learn to Love Yourself

This Valentine's Day, I've been thinking about how important it is to love yourself.  Yes, we all have our little flaws, but loving yourself first is an essential part to being a healthy and overall happy individual, in my opinion.  On this day when we're so busy showing everyone else how much we love them, don't forget to show yourself a little love.

Girls Supporting Girls

It's finally February! We made it through one of the longest months of the year. Congrats! This week, in light of recent women's marches that went on throughout the world a couple weeks ago, I thought I would talk about how we can better support the community of women in our lives.  Whether that be the women in your workplace, an online community of women you've never met, or just your closest confidants and best of friends, we should all have each others' backs!  You might not have made it to a women's march near you, but here's how you can support women on a smaller, but still important, scale.

Get to Know Yourself (& Your Style)

Most people have taken or will take the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator at least once in their life.  The MBTI is a personality test that determines your psychological preferences, how you view the world, and how you make decisions.  Recently, I've been doing research involving my senior project at university, which has lead me to taking it online.  I was very impressed and intrigued by the results.  Here is one online that I enjoyed taking, because it offers a lot of information about your personality, such as strengths and weaknesses, romantic relationships, and famous people who have the same personality as you.  Take the test and comment down below what you got!

After taking this quiz, I wanted to see if there was any way I could relate this to fashion.  Below I've listed each personality type and a defining piece that should be in there wardrobe!  Comment down below if you agree!
