Tie-dye the Trendy Way

I’m back! I’ve been so busy the past few weeks. I’m so sorry I’ve missed a couple posts. Between my friend, Megan, visiting me in London and flying back to the US this week for my other friend, Amber’s wedding, I’ve been a very busy bee. I don’t really know how I’m still standing to be honest. I think tomorrow calls for some relaxing lemonade sipping by the pool.

This week, I thought I’d talk about the trendy but tricky trend, tie-dye. This is one of the fastest growing trends of the summer season, so I thought it was only appropriate that I come up with some tips for pulling it off and looking amazing while doing it. It may initially make you think of that tie-dye t-shirt you made at summer camp when you were a kid, but fear not! There is in fact a way to try the trend without looking like you’re dressing up for a hippie themed party.

Little Life Update from Shoreditch

Have you all had a good week? Comment down below one good thing and one not-so-good thing that happened this week. My good thing is that I’ve really been enjoying this week is spending time with my friends! Thursday night I went out for cheese fondue with them and then went to go and see Mary Queen of Scots, which was amazing by the way!

not-so-good thing is that we’re still on the hunt for the right apartment in London, which seems like an impossible task. It’s exhausting, but I still have faith we’re going to to find the one for us!

Anyway, for this week’s post, I giving you a much-needed life update! Here are all the things I’ve been up to, how I’ve been settling in here in London, and what my plans are this year.

My Mini Guide to Milan

Are you all getting in the holiday spirit? I’ve finally started wrapping some gifts, and I have to say, buying people gifts is one of the most joyous things about this time of year. I think it makes me so happy because gift giving is really how I show someone how much I care about them.

Corduroy's Big Comeback

For this week’s post, I wanted to talk about one of this season’s biggest trends, corduroy! While it comes around every fall/winter season, it seems to be making an even bigger comeback this year and in some new and interesting ways! I’ve seen corduroy in more colors, styles, and shapes than I’ve ever imagined and I’m kind of loving it! I don’t have a love of corduroy pieces yet myself, but the few bits I do have, like this dress from Zara, are keeping me warm and stylish! I’ve come up with a few tips for rocking corduroy your own way!

Second-Hand Summer Outfit

How has your week been? I've had another London packed week I must admit and I'm feeling to lucky to be here experiencing this. While walking around running errands for my internship, I stumbled upon some really amazing vintage and second-hand shops in the Shoreditch area! It reminded me of this gorgeous, Gianni Bini dress I found for a steal, second-hand at my old work, Style Encore Conway, which is a gently-used women's clothing shop! ( I miss that place and my work pals so so much and finding amazing steals!) In this post I wanted to talk about the benefits of shopping second-hand, vintage, or consignment clothes for both your own wallet and the planet!

Cheeky Little Life Update

I hope you've all had a great week. I've been in San Diego, so I must admit, I've had a pretty smashing week! I'd never been to San Diego before, but I was met with warm weather, lush flowers, and endless things to do, but I'll talk about all those exciting things more in my mini guide to San Diego which I'm currently working up! Anyway, back to this week's point of topic which is just a cheeky little catch up really. I wanted to take the time to update you some exciting things coming up for me.

How I Find Confidence in Crazy Outfits

How is your weekend going? Apart from the England loss, which was kind of devastating *tear*, I've had a pretty productive week. I've just arrived in San Diego which I'm feeling super excited about since I've never gotten to visit here before! I've been to most other major cities in Cali, but I've heard some of the best things about San Diego itself! Have you ever been? Comment down below what your San Diego experience was if you have and if you have any recommendations (especially food lol, you know I love my food).

Anyway, today I just wanted to talk to you guys, pretty casually about how I feel confident enough to wear the things I do, like a rainbow striped jumpsuit! A lot of the time I get "only you could pull that off" or "I wish I could rock something like that", and while that's an incredibly kind compliment to me, I don't want you to think you couldn't rock something just as out there or bold as me, because you can!

Why Casual Can Still Be Colorful

LWD: The Summer Version on the LBD

I hope you're all doing well and have had a great summer week filled with warm weather! It's been a little TOO warm here, but ! Today I wanted to talk about a classic summer staple, the beauty of it's versatility, and how I'm styling it myself! It's the LWD, otherwise known as the Little White Dress! It's the perfect summer alternative to the LBD. (I was also joined by Marcy, the best model in out family, for this shoot!)
