How to Rock Cowboy Couture

Hello friends,

Good morning and happy Easter to those that celebrate! (I hope you're all eating extra chocolate today!) Inspired by my recent discovery of the show Westworld (I know I'm late, but if you have not seen it and like futuristic shows, seriously get on it!), I decided to dedicate a post to the western-inspired trends that have been gracing the fashion world as of late.

Although Western trends were showing up on runways starting last winter, they were absolutely ruling the AW18 runways all over the world, including fashion houses I really admire like House of Holland, Calvin Klein, and Topshop. Cowboy couture is a fairly easy trend to try out and you probably already have some of these trends in your wardrobe! Here's how you can conquer fashion's new frontier.

PLaid

Plaid is probably my favorite trend right now and not only does it tick the western box, but it also reminds me of my British roots.  Brands like Burberry have been championing plaid for ages, so why shouldn't we? I got a little too excited when I found this top from Zara, I must admit haha.

Big belt Buckles

Nothing throws back to the wild west like a large, shiny belt buckle. The double buckle belt, like mine, have become exceptionally popular over the past year, and you can find them everywhere. These belts look great with high waisted jeans or over a cute dress.

Western Style Boots

Cowboy-inspired boots are heading from ranch to runway this year. These will probably be more relevant for fall, but keep them in mind! My favorite pair I've seen so far is a lavender pair by Topshop (below).

Denim Jackets

If you don't own a denim jacket by now, this is your sign! Not only do they fit into this trend, but they are also incredibly easy to throw over any outfit adding instant cool.

So, do you think you are going to add a little western into your wardrobe with a denim jacket here or a belt there?  Special thank you to Miranda Meyers of Wildroot Photo again because she always delivers such amazing photos!! She also does engagments, weddings, and family portraits if you're in need of a great photographer! I always say it, but it's true...I'm so greatful to those of you that take the time to read my blog!  This week I'm asking that you share my blog with a friend, as I'm trying to grow my audience.  The more the merrier! Have a great week!
