My Mini Guide to St. Tropez

How are you lovely people doing on this fine Sunday? As, per the usual, I’ve spent the weekend eating delish food with friends and enjoying the last of the London summer sun. I’m writing this while I sit in the sun outside a London coffee shop, surprisingly warm. As I slip off my cardigan, I could almost close my eyes and imagine that I’m back in St. Tropez, like I was a couple weeks ago, which brings me to today’s blog post.

I wanted to tell you a bit about St. Tropez and my little trip there. Though I only went for a long weekend work trip, I couldn’t not share this luxurious and beautiful location. From extravagant hotels with impressive swimming pools, to delicious other-worldly food, to colourful sunsets bouncing off the sea, my St. Tropez trip seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye. Below are some of the highlights from that sparkling weekend.

My Mini Guide to Croatia

Hope you’ve all had a fun and relaxing weekend. I’ve been entertaining my gorgeous cousin, Neave. Apart from eating our way through London, we also went to the Van Gogh Alive exhibit which I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an exciting art experience. We also did some vintage shopping in Shoreditch which I haven’t done in a while.

Anyway, before Neave came, I had just gotten back from my very exciting trip to Croatia, so let me tell you all about it and all the things I would recommend to anyone visiting. It really was such a stunning country with amazing people, and I will definitely be going back.

Hope you’re all well and having a lovely weekend this weekend. I’ve spent it finishing off unpacking and organizing my room from my recent move, cooking some delish food with the bf, and hanging out with friends. Comment down below what you got up this weekend.
For this week’s blog post, I wanted to give you a bit of a rundown of what we did while we were in Cornwall the other week. We had such an amazing time and I got to see some lovely places with much missed family members. Below are the places we visited while in Cornwall and where I recommend you do too if you ever visit.

My Mini Guide to Portugal

As you probably know, I spent last weekend in Portugal! This time last week I was stretched out on a beach eating a Portuguese tart and listening to the sound of the sea. Unfortunately, I’m back to reality this weekend, sitting by London Fields Lido under a dark cloud and eating an apple. It’s still the weekend though right!

Here is my mini guide to Portugal and how we got the most of a weekend there. I went with my friend and roommate, Megan. With only three days, we def had to do some serious planning and running from place to place, but I feel like I really experienced a lot that Portugal had to offer. Below are the things I recommend you definitely shouldn’t miss if you ever get a chance to visit this beautiful place.

Postcards from Paris

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. I know it’s been a couple weeks since my last blog post, but I’ve had some bad news the other weekend and then a busy one the next. My beloved dog and best friend, Derby, passed away two weeks ago now, and it has been incredibly hard for me to think about anything else. This past weekend I spent in Paris with my mom and Mrs. Cindy. It was nice to have my mum here with Derby passing away and Paris helped to get my mind off things. Anyway, I’m sorry for missing a couple blog posts and hope you guys can forgive me, but let’s get on with this week’s post!

This week, I wanted to talk about how to nail a city summer break outfit. This was the outfit I chose to wear while walking miles in the Parisian summer heat, and would make a great outfit for any other summer trips you have coming up too. Below is the break down of the perfect outfit for your next summer trip.

My Mini Guide to Milan

Are you all getting in the holiday spirit? I’ve finally started wrapping some gifts, and I have to say, buying people gifts is one of the most joyous things about this time of year. I think it makes me so happy because gift giving is really how I show someone how much I care about them.

For this particular blog post, I want to rewind to a couple weekends ago when Fergus and I were in Milan! Although we were only there for a very brief visit, I feel like we squeezed in a lot, and I have to share it with all my favorite people (aka you!). Here are my recommendations for where you need to go and what you need to see in Milan if you ever visit!

Stepping Out of My Style Comfort Zone in Milan

Fergus and I have just returned from Milan! We had an amazing little trip, exploring the city and visiting my Italian pals. I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quick city break! If you have any questions about our Milan visit, comment them down below, because I’ll probably be answering them in my next post with my mini guide to Milan.

For this week’s post, I wanted to try to challenge myself and my typical style in Milan! Often, I find myself getting into a fashion rut and just wearing a similar combination of clothing over and over, so every now and then, I think I’ve got to break out of the routine.

A piece of clothing a usually shy away from is the midi skirt. I’ve long admired the midi skirts and dresses on the likes of my taller friends, celebs, and models, but I’ve always felt that I was too short too pull one off. Since I’m always preaching that anyone can wear anything though, I thought I should test myself to do the same!

The Power of Plaid

It’s finally feeling like fall, friends! Whoop whoop! Are you taking this cooler weather in your stride, perhaps going on walks in the crunching leaves or breaking out your coziest of sweaters? Maybe you’re even sipping a warm latte, wrapped up in a plaid scarf, which leads me on to the topic of this week’s post!

Of all the fall trends that accompany the changing trees and falling leaves, I have to admit that plaid, tartan, or check my might be favorite. With it comes with a very British association from things like Burberry’s iconic pattern, traditional Scottish kilts, Vivienne Westwood’s designs, and London punk rockers. Plus, I just love the fact that tartan originated in Scotland and each different pattern represented a different clan. It’s such a cool and interesting start to a pattern’s history unlike any other’s.
