How to Style Ugly Sneakers

How has your weekend and Thanksgiving been? Have you been rocking some killer fall/winter outfits? Comment down below what your current favorite winter outfit is! I’ve been up in Newcastle this week visiting my brother, exploring the city, and eating lots of food, most importantly of which was our Thanksgiving meal! Although we missed our Tennessee family, it was nice that Fergus and I got to spend it together and try out cooking it for ourselves! We did pretty well apart from our roasted veg could’ve been…well a bit more roasted! Anyway, the day after our Thanksgiving meal, Fergus took me touring around Newcastle and took some awesome shots for this week’s post featuring my ‘ugly’ sneakers!

We may call them ugly, but everyone who’s anyone in the fashion industry has been rocking these less-than-sleek babies, from Gigi Hadid to bloggers to models in the Louis Vuitton ads . I’ve come up with a few tips for rocking corduroy your own way!

Today, I thought it would be a great idea to talk about you can re-style and recycle your New Year's Eve, Christmas, and other party dresses to make them more casual and spring appropriate!  Wearing dresses in a casual way is one of my favorite outfits.

Step Out of Your Closet Comfort Zone

How are you all feeling on this sunny Sunday morning?  I hope you're feeling confident and a little experimental, because I've been challenged by Dia & Co. to 'face my fashion fears', and I think you should too!  They've challenged me to wear an outfit/clothing item I might not normally have the confidence to wear, so I've decided to show a little more skin, wear some gorgeous colored sunnies, and some oh-so-badass boots.

This outfit featured a couple out-of-my-comfort-zone elements.  I thought I might feel a little self-conscious wearing this, but instead I felt quite the opposite!  Wearing this gorgeous outfit has surprisingly made me feel more empowered.  The boots made me feel badass, the v-neck dress made me feel pretty and feminine, and the sunnies were of so cool.
