Why I Wish People Would Stop Wishing Winter Away

(Try to say that title three times fast!) I have a bit of a bone to pick with you haha. After the end of the holiday season, all I've been hearing and seeing is people wishing away our brief winter. I hear people say "I'm SO ready for spring!" or see stores bringing out floral crop-tops and floaty mini skirts, but I'm a winter girl at heart (I do have Elsa hair after all!). I do not appreciate this wishing away of cool breezes, frosty mornings, and the possibility of snow!! I think all the seasons should be given there fair dues and appreciated for each of their variations from one another. I think living somewhere where you get to experience all the seasons is a blessing, so below are some of my reasons I think we should all slow down and appreciate this season in all it's chilly glory.

My Book Recommendations: Fashion & Otherwise

Today, I thought I'd touch upon some of my favorite books, some based on fashion and others just amazingly well-written stories. I'll go into why I love each book and why I think you should give it a try yourself. Also, one of the personal goals I've set for myself this year (and one I set for myself nearly every year, but don't always succeed in), is to read more books. Festive Plaid Fan

This is an outfit I've been dying to rock, and one I deemed very appropriate for the festive season! For some unknown reason, plaid, especially red plaid, has always reminded me of the holidays. I'm not sure if it's the cozy feeling it makes me think of, or the red associated with Santa Claus, holly berries, and cardinals, but I love to incorporate plaid in my wardrobe at this time of year.

What My University Years Have Taught Me

I hope you are all having an amazing weekend filled with hot chocolate and cozy evenings by a fire or with a great movie. Today, I'm excited to share with you that I am officially a university graduate! I am proud to say, I graduated yesterday with my Bachelor's of Fine Arts. Looking back on the past four years and all the things I have accomplished has inspired me to write here on the blog about some of the important things I've learned during my undergraduate degree.
