Color Forecast: Spring 2017

Good morning lovelies,

So spring has finally sprung, and the weather is slowly changing from dull and chilly to bright, crisp, and a little warmer.

One of the most wonderful things about spring, in my opinion, is the introduction of the color that was lost during those dull winter months.  The flowers start blooming and that means your wardrobe can too! I've been thoroughly enjoying adding some pops of color back into my life the past couple weeks, so I thought I would research what colors will be trending this season so you can try them out too.  Grab yourself a cup of tea and some chocolate, and let's talk color!

According to the king of color, Pantone, the colors to sport during Spring 2017 are:

  • Deep golds and mustards
  • Pale/baby blues
  • Nude/baby pinks
  • Army and true greens

Below are some of Pantone's picks, but colors in the same color family will be the perfect addition to your spring wardrobe too.  Which one do you like the best?

For this outfit, I decided to chose a rich mustard, chenille sweater from Zaful to pair with my pale blue gingham trousers from Old Navy.  These trousers are going to be the perfect spring piece since they're an on-trend pattern and color, plus the ankle grazer length is very flattering.  I also threw on my matching, pale blue coat from H&M, which gives this outfit a little bit of a suit vibe.  For a little extra height and fun, I finished off the outfit with my platform oxfords from Zara.

As always, thank you so much for reading.  Be sure to leave a comment down below with which color you are most definitely going to be sporting this season, and if you have any requests for future posts, please let me know.  I'm always looking for new ideas that you guys will be interested in! Come back next week for another post!
