Spring/Summer 2017 Trends

Happy Sunday!

I hope you have all had a lovely Easter weekend if you celebrate Easter! I, on the other hand, have been working and doing homework all weekend, but sometimes that's just how it goes.

Anyway, I thought it was about time we discuss some of Spring/Summer 2017's hottest trends. Spring is such an exciting time to re-vamp your closet and inject a little color and fun. I always feel incredibly inspired by the blooming flowers, the crisp air, and the warm sun. The trends below are the perfect embodiment of those things, that you can actually wear, so get in the spring state of mind!

Chances are you can try one or all of these spring trends with some ease. Just pick and choose which ones you think fit your personal style and give them a go!

Ruffles

Ruffles are an interesting way to add a little femininity to any outfit. This spring is all about embracing your feminity! Girl power! I'm usually not a massive fan of ruffles, but this season I've been trying to give them a second chance. If the ruffles are in the right place on the top, like this one's statement shoulders, then I've been really enjoying it. Ruffles are a little bit harder to rock, but if you find the right style, they can be the perfect embellishment.

Embroidery

Embroidery has been everywhere recently, and you really cannot walk into any retail/clothing shop without finding some. Embroidered flowers and insects are perfect for giving a little nod to spring. Plus, I think they just add another interesting element to whatever they adorn.

Stripes

Stripes, in particular red & white and blue & white striped pieces are going to serve you really well for this season. It's also a fairly easy trend to try out and pair with items you probably already have in your closet.

Gingham

As I've mentioned in my post dedicated to Gingham, it really is the print of Spring 2017. It's also a fairly easy print to try out since it comes in lots of different shades and sizes.
