Just a Touch of Rock & Roll

Happy Sunday friends,

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. This week I just thought I would talk about adding a little rock & roll to your outfit for a change. I have included a few defining elements of a rock & roll look below. As you all know, my style is not very rocker, but I've decided that paired with the right pieces, it's a pretty cool look. So if I can make it work, then so can you!

Metallic(a)

Metallic anything adds some next level star power. A metallic bag or shoes add the perfect hint of shine to any outfit. I obviously decided to go for my Karl Lagerfeld loafers for this look, since they're basically shinier than the sun.

Bleached/Ripped Jeans

The hero piece of this outfit are these amazing jeans from Schriver's Boutique in Maryville. A few rips and some bleach spatters are the perfect way to make a pair of jeans more fun and cool.

Leather

Let's be honest...there is nothing more hardcore than a leather biker jacket, or leather in general, really. Throw on your leather jacket or leather boots for that easy touch of rock & roll. Even pair your feminine floral dress with a leather jacket to harden it up a bit.

Silver Hardware

Silver metalware on you bags, jacket, or shoes gives off that rocker vibe we want. For whatever reason, silver just makes you think of ACDC, Rolling Stones, and Van Halen. Opt for silver instead of gold in this instance.

Red Lipstick

Nothing adds the perfect punch like a little red lipstick! This is the perfect finishing touch to any rock inspired look.
