Welcome Home Bonnie

But alas you’ve not clicked on this blog post to read about my travels, no something much more exciting has happened to me this week. One of my life-long dreams has finally come true. After 4 years of working towards it, I’ve finally got a puppy of my own. Her name is Bonnie Buttercup and she’s just as perfect as can be. We’re already stuck together at the hip and partners in crime. I can’t wait to see what the future hold for little Bonnie and I. Below are some more of the things I’ve learned after the first week of having a puppy all on my own.

Why You Should Shop Vintage - Varsity Vibes

I hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday eve or whenever you’re reading this little post of mine. This weekend I had a minor operation so I’ve not been as busy as usual which I’ve found quite annoying. You know me, I like to be busy, but I’ve had to take it a bit more easy that usual. Today I did manage to shoot four outfits with my fellow fashion-loving friend, Millie. We were also graced by some gorgeous sunny weather here in London, so we were very grateful. Our little photoshoot session was capped off by a very lovely catch up and some delish vanilla pancakes at Caravan. What have you been up to this weekend?

Inspired by this gorgeous vintage jacket and matching jumper, I wanted to talk about secondhand fashion this week. I’ve talked previously about why I love shopping vintage (see blog post here), but for this post I thought I would share some more reasons I think you should turn to shopping vintage instead of shopping on the high street whether it’s to help you’re community or to feel more inspired.

Colour Forecast 2022

Hope you’re all having the best weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums out there, especially mine, who I’m quite partial too and believe is the best mum anyone’s ever had. While I spent time with my mum last weekend, I was back in London this weekend. Yesterday, my friend, Milllie and I had an outfit shoot day and ended with some delish pasta from Lina Stores, which I’ve been wanting to try to ages. (We both got the carbonara and would def recommend.) Today I had brunch, in true George form, with none other than my gorgeous friend, Zoe and her puppy Odie, who I’ve been wanting to meet for ages! He was such a little dream. Much to Odie’s jealousy, Zoe and I had the banana pancakes from Granger & Co. They were to die for.

Anyway, now that the colour UK weather seems to have finally broken and we’re heading into April soon, I thought it was about time I post my annual colour forecast for Spring/Summer 2022. (Check out last year’s colour forecast here.) As usual, I’m covering this year’s most popular shades, according to Pantone, and how you can wear them.

I hope you’re well and all having a lovely weekend. I’ve had a much needed chilled one, catching up with friends and fam, eating as always, and doing a bit of baking. Finally tried Arôme bakery yesterday near Covent Garden, which I can definitely recommend. The pastries and honey toast were delish!
