My First Paris Fashion Week

I hope you’re all having a lovely end to the weekend. I’ve had quite an exciting one, as my parents have officially moved back to the UK and made a quick stop in London to visit me. Even though they were only here briefly, we still managed to have a good time. I took them to one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Covent Garden, for a walk around my local park, and just had some general catch up time. Hopefully, when they’re a bit more settled I can go and visit them up in Derbyshire soon. But anyway let’s do a bit of time travelling back a couple weeks for this week’s blog post.

This week, I wanted to give you guys a recap of my first Paris Fashion Week experience. As you know, I’m a Talent Manager now, so I was lucky enough to get to go to Paris Fashion Week with my job. I can’t quite believe it. (I was accompanying my Talent, Charelle Schriek, who you need to follow if you’re not already.) One of the reasons I moved to London for my career, was to become more involved in fashion weeks and now I’ve gotten to experience both London and Paris. Feeling very grateful for everything and everyone that has lead me here. Below are some of the highlights of my ten days in Paris.

How to Build a Strong Jewellery Collection

Hope you’re all having a lovely end to your weekends. I’ve had another fun London weekend. Friday night was Girl’s Night Out which I haven’t had since before the pandemic so that was quite fun, and then yesterday was spent enjoying the last of the summer sun having a picnic in the park and eating and drinking in Soho. I’ve also spent the weekend preparing for Paris Fashion Week, which starts next weekend.

After a recent question from one of my follower and these new beautiful Astrid and Miyu pieces, I thought I’d share my thoughts on building the perfect jewellery collection. Below are my tips for finding the best jewellery pieces that you’re bound to wear for years and year. Leave a comment below with the best jewellery pieces you’re ever had in your collection.

My Mini Guide to St. Tropez

How are you lovely people doing on this fine Sunday? As, per the usual, I’ve spent the weekend eating delish food with friends and enjoying the last of the London summer sun. I’m writing this while I sit in the sun outside a London coffee shop, surprisingly warm. As I slip off my cardigan, I could almost close my eyes and imagine that I’m back in St. Tropez, like I was a couple weeks ago, which brings me to today’s blog post.

I wanted to tell you a bit about St. Tropez and my little trip there. Though I only went for a long weekend work trip, I couldn’t not share this luxurious and beautiful location. From extravagant hotels with impressive swimming pools, to delicious other-worldly food, to colourful sunsets bouncing off the sea, my St. Tropez trip seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye. Below are some of the highlights from that sparkling weekend.

5 Things to Borrow from Your Mum’s Closet

I hope you guys are having the best weekend so far. Mine has consisted of relaxing, eating, and trying to keep out of the rain. Yesterday, our yoga in the park got cancelled due to rain but we still managed to get coffee and pastries in the park. I also got a lovely brunch of harissa sweet potato cakes with egg with my friend Jade. This afternoon, I got stuck in the flooding outside my tube station and had to roll up my trousers and wade through in my Dr. Martens…not sure what is happening with the weather right now. I’m home now and drying out luckily haha. What have you guys been up to? Have you experienced any weird flooding?
For this week’s blog post, I wanted to talk about why you should take a trip into your mum’s closet, especially if she’s got some gems from the 80s or 90s. Playing dressing in your mum’s closet isn’t just for childhood. Even VOGUE has done an article on clothes editors have stolen from their mother’s.
