Hello lovelies,

How are you all doing today?  I hope you've all had a great week and are enjoying your weekend.  I've been working, painting, and enjoying not having any classes at the moment!  What have you been doing with your summer months?  Comment below what adventures you've been taking now that warmer weather has graced us with its presence.

Anyway, let me introduce, to you, my very favorite summer outfit at the moment...and yes...it features black skinny jeans!  Not usually a frequent companion for the summer months, my go-to BDG Urban Outfitters skinnies can still make an appearance in May.  For this post, I thought I would let you know how I would style black skinny jeans for a warm summer month.

First off, a lightweight, cotton top is a must for breathability, and this Zara top is my absolute favorite at the moment!  The small red and white stripe adds the perfect contrast to the dark denim (Red and white stripes is a huge pattern trend right now!).  For summer, you need a light, fun color to brighten up your outfit.  This top also features amazing cinched sleeves that add drama and more breathability.  The fuller sleeves also give much needed volume on the top, since the jeans are skinny.  Luckily, the tie belt cinches you in at your waist to avoid looking too voluminous!

I embellished my feet with the most gorgeous slide-on loafers of the season.  I cannot get enough of these embroidered shoes by Ego.  I chose them in white to add another summery touch (They also come in black if you're interested!).  I love the little detail this embroidery adds to the outfit.  Also, since they're a slip-on, they keep my feet cool in the summer heat.

To accessorize, I grabbed this gorgeous velvet bag from Style Encore, in a lovely taupe color.  The velvet adds some much needed texture to this outfit and the color is a good contrast to the red stripes on my top.  I then threw on my round sunglasses for that touch of 70s.  (I've always found round sunglasses to compliment my square/oval shaped face.)

As always, thank you so much for joining me on another fashion adventure.  Scroll down to shop this outfit! Leave a comment below if you have any requests or suggestions for future blog posts!
