Yesterday, I turned 21, and I really cannot believe it! I have had such a great year and I cannot wait to see what 21 will hold in store for me and the blog.  20 will always be the year I began my blog and I hope the blog will only get better with each coming year! Wish me luck. Since we have started having such lovely, warm weather, I decided bring out a warm-weather outfit with a little bit of a festival vibe for this week's post. Also I added a few tips on choosing the right pair of jeans.

For this outfit, I chose to keep the color scheme pretty simple.  I chose a black lace-up top from Who What Wear, which is an awesome website that just started their first clothing line.  I paired this top with some classic Topshop Jonie jeans (Topshop and Urban Outfitters are my top picks for jeans!).  I rolled the jeans up once just to show off my go-to Cole Hann boots.  I topped off the look with a pair of interesting sunnies and a bandana scarf.

I've been seeing the neck scarves coming back into fashion and I absolutely love it.  So, I decided to go with a classic, bandana-print one for more of a festival look.

I usually wear black jeans, but I've finally chosen an outfit with classic jeans.  So, I decided to add a couple quick tips on finding the right jeans.

Tips:

  • Check the waistline: Make sure the waistline is exactly where you want it. If the waistline hits too high or low, you will probably avoid wearing them in the future.  Trying sitting down in them too to make sure the waistline stays in a normal area. The waistline is a big part of how confident you will feel in a pair of jeans.
  • Feel the fabric: Make sure the fabric isn't too stiff or scratchy.  A great pair of jeans will be comfortable.  Since you will be wearing them a lot, you want to feel comfortable in them.
  • Check out the pockets: Pockets can make or break a pair of jeans for me.  You want the pockets to be the right size and in the right place in order to make your butt look it's best haha.

Thank you all for reading this week's post! I hope you are all just as excited as me to see where the blog goes this year.  Please leave comments of what you'd like to see next. I love to hear from you.
