5 Reasons Everyone Should Own a Suit

Happy Sunday lovelies,

How are you all doing this weekend? Have you been up to anything exciting? Leave a comment below if you have. I’ve spent the weekend eating good food (the best mac n cheese ever), catching up with friends, shooting content, and going to events with work. I also managed to get in a cheeky swim and sauna yesterday, which was so nice. I’m working on relaxing more and learning how to turn off after the busyness of fashion month. What are some things you do to relax on the weekends?

For this week’s blog post, I wanted to talk about why everyone should own a suit. Whether you prefer an oversized fit or a more tailored look, bright and bold or neutral, there’s bound to be a perfect suit for everyone. Do you own one yourself? Chances are you’ve probably owned one at one stage in your life or another. Keep reading for the 5 reasons why I think everyone should have one in their wardrobe.

Instant Confidence Boost

Nothing makes you feel more confident than good tailoring. As I’ve mentioned before, blazers just elevate any look and a full suit even more so. I can’t recommend wearing a suit enough if you need that extra boost. Putting on a suit that fits you well, just makes you stand taller and feel as though you can take on anything.

Pick n’ Mix

Like any other matching set, the great thing about a suit is you can wear the pieces together or separate. Pair your blazer with jeans for a more casual look, or pair the trousers with a leather jacket to mix it up a bit. Essentially, as I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts about matching sets (read here), with a suit, you get twice the outfit possibilities.

Get Taken More Seriously

If you’re looking to be taken more seriously, a suit is definitely the way to go. Whether it’s an interview for a new job, winning a big deal, or any other situation you might want to come off as strong, confident, and in-charge, a suit is the perfect solution.

Not Just Formal

Suits are no longer just for the office or formal occasions. Pair with a hoodie, crop top, or chunky boots like I did hear to make a suit more wearable for everyday. The beauty of a suit these days is that it can be made to look very formal or it can be dressed down. You don’t have to save it for a special occasion anymore.

The Ease Of It

Just like throwing on a matching set, dress, or a jumpsuit, wearing a suit takes little thought or planning. All the work is done for you when wearing a suit. All you have to think about is what top and shoes to wear and you’re ready for the day.

Thank you for reading this week’s blog post. Do you own a suit? If not, I hope you’re now considering it. This one I’m wearing is from & Other Stories and I’m obsessed with it. I was specifically looking for a wide/straight leg trouser and I wanted it to be pinstripe, so when I saw this one it was meant to be! Shop some of my favourites below if you’re interested in adding one to your wardrobe. Check back next Sunday for a new post and I hope you all have a productive and positive week!
