My Favorite East London Spots

IMG_0269.JPG

Happy Sunday,

How are you doing today? Have you had a good weekend? I’ve spent the weekend exploring East London as usual, and I thought for this week’s blog post, I should let you guys in on some of my favorite spots so far. These are some of the places I frequent the most in London since I work in Shoreditch and most of my friends live east as well. To go along with it, I’ve compiled some of the images I’ve snapped along the way, which I hope you’ll like. If you know any great places I need to check out in East London, comment down below!

Colombia Rd. Flower Market

If you’re looking for your next little plant friend or a beautiful bouquet to go on your dining room table, this is the place to go. This tiny street is filled to the brim with plants and flowers of every kind and color. My friend, Sarah, took me this weekend and I helped her pick out some new plant babies for her room.

Brick Lane Vintage Market

In need of a vintage band tee or a classic pair of mom jeans? Brick Lane on a Sunday is the place to go. Brick lane is always a good place to go for your vintage fix, since it’s lined with multiple vintage shops. On a Sunday, it’s also filled with stalls of clothes and food, which means you can just about make a day of it.

Princess of ShoredITch - Sunday Roast

If you find yourself in need of a classic Sunday roast dinner, just like the ones your Grandma makes, the Princess of Shoreditch is your best bet. I took Fergus and my friend Megan here a couple weeks ago, and we had a lovely Sunday Roast. Fergus and I had roast lamb and Megan had the veggie option. If you’re an American looking to try some traditional English food, this is the perfect place to do that too.

Soft Serve Society - Ice Cream

When you’re in the mood for a sweet treat with a twist, Soft Serve Society has you covered. Their charcoal coconut ice cream is their specialty and it’s to die for. Not only does it look cool, since it’s black, but it’s also delish! I personally like to add a strawberry flake to mine!

Spitalfields Market

Spitalfields Market is right across from where I work in Shoreditch, so it’s definitely a place I frequent. I love it because it has endless options of food and stalls filled with jewelry, vintage finds, handmade cards, and endless amounts of records. It’s a great place to wander through on your lunch break, I’ve found. Food-wise, I’ve tried some amazing food there, including Italian sandwiches, steamed buns, and cheese fondue! It’s definitely the place to go if you’re looking for a variety.

The Book Club

The place to go if you’re looking for a yummy brunch or a cheeky cocktail is definitely the Book Club. Their venue has a very cozy, artsy vibe. It’s filled with local artists’ work and lively house plants. Fergus and I went here for brunch a couple weeks ago and totally loved it.

If you’re ever in East London, be sure to check out some of my fav locations. Also, if you have any of your own recommendations please leave them below! I’m always looking for new places to explore.
