An Easy Day to Night Look

This week I thought I'd enlighten you with an easy transition from day to night look! We also strayed from our regular shooting spot for a special shoot!

[Dress: Forever21, Flannel: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Chuck Taylor, Bag: Calvin Klein]

For the hero piece, or basis for my outfit, I chose a pretty versatile, ribbed bodycon dress.  I love this deep jade color on me and it's such an easy dress to throw on!  This dress has been a good basic for me, and I've been able to create a lot of different outfit combinations using it.  If you don't have a simple bodycon, you should definitely invest in one!

We decided to venture to a nearby coffee shop, Mugs, to take some shots.  I had a café con miel, which was basically like a cappuccino with honey. It was pretty delicious.

[Two of my favorite shots.  Go check out my lovely friend and photographer's blog.]

For the daytime look, I paired my dress with an Urban Outfitters flannel, which is so comfy and soft.  I finished it off with my sneaky Chuck taylors and a nude lip.  I decided to keep my hair down for some softness with the sporty outfit.  This daytime look is just what I would wear to university on a normal day, so it's comfy and easy to walk around in.

For the night-time/ going-out look, I just switched up a couple things.  I traded my converse for a pair of heels and my flannel for a tweed bomber, which I also featured in my post about my favorite coats for the winter season.  I then added a darker lip and a ribbon choker for some edge.  I used Revlon black cherry lipstick.  It's perfect if you want a really dark lip.

[Please ignore how white I am. Haha I haven't been out in the sun enough yet, clearly!]

Thank you for reading guys! It really means a lot to me.  Follow me on Instagram so we can connect more! Let me know what you think of this post in the comments and if you'd like to see more transitioning outfits.
