My Mini Guide to St. Tropez

Happy Sunday friends,

How are you lovely people doing on this fine Sunday? As, per the usual, I’ve spent the weekend eating delish food with friends and enjoying the last of the London summer sun. I’m writing this while I sit in the sun outside a London coffee shop, surprisingly warm. As I slip off my cardigan, I could almost close my eyes and imagine that I’m back in St. Tropez, like I was a couple weeks ago, which brings me to today’s blog post.

I wanted to tell you a bit about St. Tropez and my little trip there. Though I only went for a long weekend work trip, I couldn’t not share this luxurious and beautiful location. From extravagant hotels with impressive swimming pools, to delicious other-worldly food, to colourful sunsets bouncing off the sea, my St. Tropez trip seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye. Below are some of the highlights from that sparkling weekend.

Water Sports

Upon arrival in St. Tropez, after a quick and picturesque lunch, we found ourselves thrown into water sport fun with the work event. Before I knew it, we were wind surfing. I’ve never windsurfed before, so I wasn’t exactly amazing at it, but it was still super fun. After a few dips in the ocean, I did finally get the hang of it. The ocean was lovely and warm, so falling wasn’t too shocking. I would’ve loved to be doing water-sports all day long to be honest.

Le Quai

Our second dinner in St. Tropez was recommended to us by a few natives. Le Quai was considered to be one of the more fun and extravagant dinner experiences in the area, only topped by L’Opera which was of course fully booked when we tried. The restaurant not only had lovely food, but also live entertainment in the form of singers and dancers. It was literally dinner and a show. I definitely recommend Le Quai if you want the real St. Tropez dinner experience.

Lux Shopping

If you’re in the mood for some high-end shopping, St. Tropez is the place to be. You won’t find a Zara or a H&M here, but instead Chanel, Armani, and Louis Vuitton. It was nice to window shop and nip in and out of these beautiful shops, even though I wasn’t shopping for anything in particular. We didn’t end up going, but there are Chanel and Dior cafes with specialty coffees with designer latte art (maybe next time!).

Eating Along the Port de St. Tropez

For most of our meals, we ate along the Port de St. Tropez. The port is lined with gorgeous little restaurants one after the other. Everywhere we ate, we were never disappointed. Senequier had amazing octopus with chorizo. L’Italien had authentic Italian dishes, all of which we devoured. We started with a lovely focaccia and olive oil and then I had a delish truffle pasta. It almost made we think that any restaurant you stumbled into along the port would be unlikely to disappoint.
