How to Find the Perfect Swimwear

Happy Sunday friends,

Hope you’re all having a much more exciting weekend than me. I’m unfortunately stuck in quarantine after returning to the UK. Also I apologize for the lack of blogposts over the past couple weekends, but I decided to take a little break while I was back in the USA visiting friends and family. I did have a wonderful time back home, celebrating my longtime friend, Haven’s wedding, taking photos and making reels with my bestie, Joud, and relaxing with my family poolside. What have you been up to over the past couple weeks? Leave me your updates below.

For this week’s comeback blog post I wanted to talk about finding the perfect swimwear for your body type. I don’t know how I’ve never covered this before, but since we’re now allowed to travel a bit more and summer is upon us, I thought it was only appropriate to cover the topic. Of course any body can wear any suit, but below you’ll find my favourite swimwear styles along with what body part they’ll help you accentuate and flatter the most.

Black or White One Piece

If you’re really unsure of what swimsuit will suit you, a white or black one piece, like what I’m wearing here, is the safest bet. It flatters nearly every figure and will go with anything you want to pair it with. You can’t go wrong with the simplicity and streamline shape a monochrome one pieces will give you.

Underwire Power

If you have a bigger bust, any suit with an underwire cup will be your best friend. These give the most support in that area, so you’ll be feeling comfortable and stylish. See this blog post where I’m wearing an underwire bikini.

High Waisted Bikini

If you’re a bit insecure about your tummy area, high waisted bottoms are perfect. The retro cut helps to slim and flatter your shape. They also give the illusion of a smaller waist. See my blog post here, where I’m wearing one.

High Leg Bikini

Possibly my new favourite style of swimsuit, the high cut bikini is great at elongating your legs. If you’re on the shorter side, definitely try a high leg bikini for a bit of added length. These will create the perfect illusion of supermodel long legs without having to wear uncomfortable heels.

Classic Triangle Bikini

If you have a slimmer, straighter figure, a triangle bikini will help create curves. These are also usually in tie-up styles so they’re easier to adjust to fit you perfectly.

Hope you enjoyed reading this week’s blog post. Which swim style are you trying out this summer? Do you have any holidays planned? If so, comment down below. I want to hear all about it. I haven’t booked anywhere myself, but I’m considering a little trip later in the year. Anyway, follow me on Instagram for more daily updates of how I’m surviving quarantine and check back next week for a new post. Have an amazing week guys!
