Knitwear Guide 2021

Happy Sunday lovelies,

I hope you’re all having a good Sunday filled with cosy, vibes. London has gotten so cold this week, but I kind of love it when it’s chilly and sunny. This weekend, I’ve finally started feeling festive. Friday we kicked off with a bit of Christmas shopping. I always enjoy thinking about what might make other people happy on Christmas. Yesterday, my friend Megan and I had a lovely dinner and walked around Covent Garden looking at all the wonderful lights. I can’t wait to start doing more holiday festivities as the weeks go on.

For this week’s blog post, very appropriately with the temperature drop, I wanted to share my guide to the knitwear you need to be rocking. Keep reading to get my tips for picking out the perfect sweaters. It’s all about keeping cosy!

Chunkier the Better

Extra chunky and oversized knits are definitely key for your winter wardrobe this year. Which means being as cosy as possible is also in fashion. This one from Ted Baker is perfect for ultimate cosy factor and has the perfect chunky polo neck. Think cable knits and oversized fits when shopping for your new cosy pieces. Maybe even try raiding your dad, brother, or boyfriend’s wardrobe.

Creme de la creme

Cream is the shade of the season this year. As I mentioned in my last blog post, there’s nothing quite as crisp and chic as wearing white in winter. The good thing about picking up a knit in this shade is that it also matches everything you pair with it.

Collared Knits

Collars have been quite the rage the past two years and knits are no exception to that. Try to find yourself a knit with a cute collar to add a touch of extra interest to your outfit.

Knit Vests

The rise of the knit vest started this spring and it’s carrying on through winter. They are perfect for layering and keeping cosy this time of year. Throw one on over your favourite button up shirt and a cute skirt.

Thank you for reading this week’s blog post. Leave a comment below with the knitwear you’re planning to wear this season. Shop some of my favourites below that are bound to brighten up any outfit.
