Postcards from Paris

Happy Sunday friends,

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. I know it’s been a couple weeks since my last blog post, but I’ve had some bad news the other weekend and then a busy one the next. My beloved dog and best friend, Derby, passed away two weeks ago now, and it has been incredibly hard for me to think about anything else. This past weekend I spent in Paris with my mom and Mrs. Cindy. It was nice to have my mum here with Derby passing away and Paris helped to get my mind off things. Anyway, I’m sorry for missing a couple blog posts and hope you guys can forgive me, but let’s get on with this week’s post!

This week, I wanted to talk about how to nail a city summer break outfit. This was the outfit I chose to wear while walking miles in the Parisian summer heat, and would make a great outfit for any other summer trips you have coming up too. Below is the break down of the perfect outfit for your next summer trip.

Dress of Dreams

Nothing screams summer more than a dress with peaches all over it. This lovely little find was from Urban Outfitters. I like the square neck and puff sleeves.

Espadrilles

A great summer shoe are espadrilles, and also they’re perfect for walking around. They’re fairly comfortable for a sandal. I went for a my red pair to continue the color of my dress.

Crossbody

The best bag for a city break are definitely crossbody bags. They’re easy to keep your eye on and close to your body. (Even though they are probably the safest type of bag to carry, you still have to be extra careful, as I got mugged with this crossbody bag while in Paris. Don’t worry, I got my things back thank goodness, but I do recommend showing extra caution with your belongings while in cities)

Statement Sunnies

Don’t go on any summer city break without a gorgeous pair of sunglasses. I’ve made the mistake of forgetting my sunnies before, and there is nothing worse than trying to walk around and explore a new city when the sun is blinding you. I picked up this pair at & Other Stories and I’ve been wearing them non-stop recently.

Do you have a go-to outfit for city breaks. What would you rock if you were in Paris in the summer? Special thank you to my mum for taking this photos for me at our airbnb in Paris. How cute was this little courtyard? Remember to join me next week for a new blog post. I promise I’m back on the track in the blog post department. Have a lovely week friends!
