Create Your Own Co-ord

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. Have you gotten up to anything exciting? Comment down below if you have. I, on the other hand, have been sick this week. I think it’s just a bad cold or a chest infection, but it’s not been fun. I had to waste my Saturday resting, but it was kind of nice to catch up on some tv shows I wanted to see. Today, I got myself up and out for a walk around Shoreditch with my friend, Jade, which was nice. (I did have to come back and take a two hour nap though lol)

For this week’s blog post, I wanted to talk about creating your perfect co-ord. A co-ord, or coordinate, is a matching set of clothing, and is one of my favorite outfits. I love the versatility of a co-ord because you can wear the pieces together or apart, so it’s twice the outfits in one. Sometimes your perfect co-ord isn’t available though, so here’s how you can create that perfect combo for yourself.

Postcards from Paris

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. I know it’s been a couple weeks since my last blog post, but I’ve had some bad news the other weekend and then a busy one the next. My beloved dog and best friend, Derby, passed away two weeks ago now, and it has been incredibly hard for me to think about anything else. This past weekend I spent in Paris with my mom and Mrs. Cindy. It was nice to have my mum here with Derby passing away and Paris helped to get my mind off things. Anyway, I’m sorry for missing a couple blog posts and hope you guys can forgive me, but let’s get on with this week’s post!

This week, I wanted to talk about how to nail a city summer break outfit. This was the outfit I chose to wear while walking miles in the Parisian summer heat, and would make a great outfit for any other summer trips you have coming up too. Below is the break down of the perfect outfit for your next summer trip.

How to Make Pink More Badass

Hope you’re having a good Sunday. The sun is finally shining again here in London. This weekend has been a fun one! Thanks to my friend, Sarah, we started off the weekend speed dating. It was an interesting experience, but I def didn’t meet my soul mate lol. Yesterday, I had brunch at Dishoom, a Bombay restaurant, with my friend, Vincenza, which was delish. Then we walked around some of the vintage shops together. Last night, the roomies and I watched Salmon Fishing in the Yemen with Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt, which was a lot better than I expected. Today, I’ve been running around getting things ready for Fergus and my mom’s visit this week. I can’t wait to see them. Anyway, on to this week’s post.

For this week’s post, I wanted to talk about the color pink and how to make it a little more wearable without looking like a twelve-year old girl. I know it can be a bit of an intimidating color if you’re trying to look more mature or just don’t want to look too girly. Personally, I’ve always loved pink, but I do avoid it if I’m trying to look older. Over the years, though, I’ve come up with some tips to make pink more wearable.

Can't Go Without the Cargo

How are you all doing on this chilled Sunday evening? This weekend, I’ve been settling back into my flat after arriving back in London, went out for an ABBA night with my roomies, and then hung out with my pal, Jade, and took some blog photos together. Comment down below what you’ve been up to.

This week, I wanted to write about one of my new favorite trends, the cargo pant. (I know, how 90s of me!) They were a 90s classic For this post, I wanted to talk about how I've styled my cargo pants and how you can too.

My New Summer Uniform

How are you doing on this sunny Sunday? I’ve been back in Maryville, Tennessee for the past couple weeks, spending time with my rents and doggies. It’s been so different from being in London, but so nice to catch up on lost time and revisit old places and faces. It’s been such a nice little summer break. Have you been up to anything interesting this week? Comment down below if you have.

I’ve talked about style uniforms many a time on this blog, and how having a “uniform” for yourself can make getting dressed in the morning a whole lot easier. There’s a chance you might already have one without even knowing it. I recommend just evaluating your wardrobe and finding what you wear the most if you want to create a uniform for yourself too.

For this summer, I’ve created my new summer staple outfit, and it’s one of the outfit combinations I tend to fall back on time and time again, no matter the season. The break down is below.

Tie-dye the Trendy Way

I’m back! I’ve been so busy the past few weeks. I’m so sorry I’ve missed a couple posts. Between my friend, Megan, visiting me in London and flying back to the US this week for my other friend, Amber’s wedding, I’ve been a very busy bee. I don’t really know how I’m still standing to be honest. I think tomorrow calls for some relaxing lemonade sipping by the pool.

This week, I thought I’d talk about the trendy but tricky trend, tie-dye. This is one of the fastest growing trends of the summer season, so I thought it was only appropriate that I come up with some tips for pulling it off and looking amazing while doing it. It may initially make you think of that tie-dye t-shirt you made at summer camp when you were a kid, but fear not! There is in fact a way to try the trend without looking like you’re dressing up for a hippie themed party.

My Tips for Finding Your Perfect Flat

How are you doing on this fine Sunday evening? I have some good news to share with you all. This week, I moved into our new flat! Yes, that’s right! I have finally found a flat in London after months of searching, and I’m lucky enough to live with three great girls. Our place is just off Brick Lane, which is famous for it’s vintage shops. This means I have an insane 8 minute walk to work. I’m feeling so lucky right now. After all the months of worrying, I’m finally lucky enough to find somewhere that really feels like a home.

After the months of struggling to find the right home, I have learned quite a lot though. Despite hating where I living before and being let down time after time, I think I really grew as a person. I’ve compiled a few tips for next time you’re house hunting, whether it’s in London for elsewhere.

How to Wear Yellow as a Blonde

How are you doing? Have you had a nice week? Unfortunately, the warm weather has left us for a bit here in London, but hopefully it will be back soon. I’m not really complaining though because as you may know, I’m secretly a lover of cooler weather.

Anyway, I’m turning 24 this week, and for the majority of those years, I’ve been avoiding the color yellow all together. Yellow can always be a hit or miss for us blondes and tends to look much better on our brunette friends. In this post, I want to touch on how us blondes can conquer the color ourselves, especially since it’s an important color for the season to come. Here are my tips for wearing yellow as a blonde.

Back to Basics

Hope you’ve been having a good Easter and bank holiday weekend if you’re here in the UK. Hope you’ve been spending time with your fam and eating lots of Easter treats. Anyway, on to this week’s blog post.

While building an amazing wardrobe, or at least what I consider to be amazing lol, I’ve been learning and growing along with it. I think of my wardrobe as a fluid, ever-changing thing. Pieces are always coming in and going out of my life and I try my best to keep it all rather balanced, but sometimes even my closet falls off kilter.
