How to Wear Yellow as a Blonde
Back to Basics
How are you doing? Have you had a nice week? Unfortunately, the warm weather has left us for a bit here in London, but hopefully it will be back soon. I’m not really complaining though because as you may know, I’m secretly a lover of cooler weather.
Anyway, I’m turning 24 this week, and for the majority of those years, I’ve been avoiding the color yellow all together. Yellow can always be a hit or miss for us blondes and tends to look much better on our brunette friends. In this post, I want to touch on how us blondes can conquer the color ourselves, especially since it’s an important color for the season to come. Here are my tips for wearing yellow as a blonde.
My Favorite East London Spots
Hope you’ve been having a good Easter and bank holiday weekend if you’re here in the UK. Hope you’ve been spending time with your fam and eating lots of Easter treats. Anyway, on to this week’s blog post.
While building an amazing wardrobe, or at least what I consider to be amazing lol, I’ve been learning and growing along with it. I think of my wardrobe as a fluid, ever-changing thing. Pieces are always coming in and going out of my life and I try my best to keep it all rather balanced, but sometimes even my closet falls off kilter.
Color Forecast: Spring 2019
How are you doing today? Have you had a good weekend? I’ve spent the weekend exploring East London as usual, and I thought for this week’s blog post, I should let you guys in on some of my favorite spots so far. These are some of the places I frequent the most in London since I work in Shoreditch and most of my friends live east as well. To go along with it, I’ve compiled some of the images I’ve snapped along the way, which I hope you’ll like. If you know any great places I need to check out in East London, comment down below!
I Didn't Buy Any Clothes for a Whole Month and Here's What I Learned
Today we’re talking all things color! Usually around this time of year, I do a post dedicated to some of the hottest colors for the upcoming spring/summer seasons. I thought it was about time I let you know which colors you need to be picking up for your spring wardrobe. If you want to check out last year’s Spring 2018 Color Forecast, click here.
Just below, I’ve lined up Spring and Summer 2019’s best and brightest colors for you. I’ve also laid out which colors will look best on you based on your hair color and skin tone!
Conquering my Fear of Flares
What have you been up to over this warm weekend? Have you been taking advantage of the lovely weather?
Much to many of your surprise, I have not bought a single item of clothing in a whole month! I have to admit I am a bit proud of myself. I know, I know, a month is not that long. Anyway, I was inspired by my idol, Megan Ellaby, and the fact that I need to save some cash here in London. To survive off my current wardrobe so to speak, rather than adding things here and there, was the challenge. These are the things I learned along the way.
Put It In Neutral
Hope you all enjoyed the weekend. Hopefully today has been a good reset day for the week ahead. I’ve spent the day with my brother exploring the on of the best vintage markets in London and eating amazing food. I love showing the people I love around the city I love!
As you, probably know all too well by now, I enjoy giving myself a good fashion challenge, and this week is no different. This week, I’m conquering another one of my fashion fears; the 70s classic, flares! This particular pair is from H&M, and I thought the cream color would be great for spring/summer. Below are some of my tips on how to make flares look flattering and fashion forward for even the most fearful of fashionistas.
Spring into Spring
How are you guys doing this week? Comment down below with how you’ve been and what you’ve been up to this weekend. You know I’m always nosey, and what to hear about what you’re up to.
This year one of my fashion goals has been to challenge myself to make neutrals exciting again. They’ve been all over the runways and street-style stars recently, and I want to try it out myself. While I’ve become inclined to grab a punchy pink sweater rather than a subtle camel one, I want to make myself a bit more comfortable with the classic tones again. I think it’s important to have that balance of color and neutral in my wardrobe and know how to navigate both seamlessly.
These Boots Were Made for Walking: Why We All Need a Pair of Dr. Martens
How are you doing on this sunny Sunday? I’ve had a bit of a roller coaster week, but feeling positive about what’s to come. My goal for this week is to be more confident in myself and my abilities. Comment down below with a goal you’re setting yourself this week.
For this week’s post, I have a warmer weather outfit, due to premature spring weekend we had a couple weeks ago. We’re are now back to fairly chilly weather, but I thought I may as well post this bright spring outfit to get us feeling inspired for the weather to come! We are in March now after all. For this post, I’m just going to walk you through my first real spring look of the season.
London Fashion Week AW19 Recap
How is it March already? This year is flying by isn’t it? (I feel like it was Christmas only a couple of weeks ago!) Anyway, I hope you’ve had a productive and positive week and a relaxing weekend! I spent yesterday taking some photos for the blog with one of my good friends and then cleaning my room and doing some laundry ready for the week ahead. I’m spending today with my friend, Vinceza, hopefully not getting rained on at Camden market. (I’m writing this a day in advance.)
This week I thought I’d talk about one of my new best shoe friends, my Dr. Martens!
I’m back!! I hope you’re all having a lovely and relaxing weekend. I’m certainly catching up on my relaxing this weekend, thank goodness! I’m sorry I missed last week’s post, but as I think you’ll learn from this post, last week and weekend were absolutely no-stop. I’m actually exhausted! I did enjoy every crazy minute of London Fashion Week AW19 though! There’s nothing quite like the creative and quirky environment of a fashion week to get the inspiration flowing and the adrenaline pumping. Here is a cheeky recap of the craziness that was my fashion-filled weekend! If you have any questions about it all, be sure to leave it below!
